Creed X

Documentary

At X Games Norway, I was on site to shoot a documentary about an upcoming athlete — a super challenging assignment due to the difficult shooting conditions inside the venue. During a break, I observed the Moto X riders pushing their limits even in training. As the light improved, I captured a moment where, on the third shot, Corey Creed sent his bike soaring high enough to nearly meet the rooftop.

Digital Distraction

Half way sick, but still hooked.

Do you know the feeling when you can’t look away even if it is disturbing?
The digital revolution made it more or less secretly socially acceptable. Disturbing content is all over the internet and access is easy. A fast way to distribute is via social media. By now, approximately half the world’s population is connected and influenced by it. This has led to a never before seen potential to reach and connect an audience. Algorithms are used to filter content, based on user classification. Congruent communication boxes are made. This uniformity might be enchanting but it distraction of all. Still, outside of this box there is a real, unfiltered world with different opinions to handle.

Sequence

Mount Blaser near Serles offered challenging freeride conditions — little snow, icy terrain, and difficult light. Despite this, I chose to shoot a sequence, deliberately moving away from a traditional approach. The camera position was never fixed; instead, both subject and camera remained in motion, making the movement itself an integral part of the work. The layering was created using varying ratios and contrasts, emphasizing depth and clearly revealing the camera’s own movement within the landscape.

Super(ri)or

When taking a close look how society treats our surroundings, it is quite interesting that humans seem to feel superior to nature itself. Imagine that we are just bubbles in an aquarium which try to reach the surface. Equipped with natural & limited abilities of the human body the glass will always be a barrier. On top there might be an idea of the outside, but there is a different world which does exist in a different aggregation state. This physical boundary is reflected in the inabitlity to receive and process the majority of what is permanetly around and limits are set. Natures unwritten law is balance, nothing is superior. Life can only exist if death is also present. Yet we are blind to honor that adaption and acceptance are the most crucial parts of symmetry. In contrast humans try to compete with nature and seek to control it. This elementary bias in thought could be based in short term thinking as a lifetime is nothing compared to existance itself. Might this be the reason why society does not confront itself that symmetry must be focused on every level?

I guess balance hurts, as we all are just shadows, which need the sun to shine…

Father & Son

The image shows two trees of different sizes in front of a sunset: a small tree and a larger tree standing directly behind it. The larger tree represents a father’s guiding presence, standing behind the smaller tree not to shield it from the world, but to support and help it overcome challenges. The composition highlights encouragement, guidance, and the quiet strength that allows the child to grow confidently while knowing support is always present.
